Job Description
Christianson Benchmarking is seeking a Program Support Specialist to become an integral part of a small, well-established team. As a Program Support Specialist, you will perform an essential role in supporting clients and fellow team members in a wide variety of administrative and customer service tasks. This position requires a strong ability to follow existing processes and procedures with precision and attention to detail, while learning about the industries we serve and contributing your own ideas to improve our team’s ability to deliver high-quality, confidential support to our national and international clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining, validating, and updating customer data, records, presentations, and reports, using standard business software as well as proprietary internal software and systems.
- Provide technical customer service support for clients and team members, answering emails and calls promptly to provide accurate information, escalating complex or time-sensitive issues to other staff as appropriate, and following up to ensure proper resolution.
- Proactively engage in a continuous learning plan to build and sustain a comprehensive understanding of our programs, confidential subscriber records, and other related industry resources. This foundation will empower you to confidently and effectively support internal and external information requests.
- Meet with clients, typically remotely via virtual meeting, to discuss and explain report results. Some meetings may include occasional overnight travel to attend conferences or in-person client meetings.
- Perform administrative duties as requested by team members.
- Uphold integrity in all interactions while ensuring customer confidentiality is respected and maintained in accordance with established agreements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in general bookkeeping, office administration, customer support, software development, or similar roles, with 1+ years in a supervisory or office management role. Equivalent education, as demonstrated by an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, General Business, Agribusiness, Math/Science, or a related field, will be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in all aspects of providing high-quality client service and administrative task support, including demonstrated ability to prioritize client confidentiality and use professional discretion in all communications.
- 3+ years of experience in comprehensive general office software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat, formatting and converting materials and reports for multiple purposes.
- Strong general math skills, detail orientation, and satisfaction in working with numbers.
- Excellent general office writing skills are required, including a high degree of accuracy in grammar and spelling as well as attention to detail and clarity. Professional business writing and presentation skills are a plus.
- Self-motivated worker with a high initiative for communicating effectively in a remote team environment and demonstrated accountability for taking projects from start to finish independently.
- Basic understanding of relational databases or simple coding principles is a plus but not required.
- Some knowledge of the biofuels industry is a plus but not required.
- A strong desire to research, read independently, and follow a plan for learning about biofuels and other agriculture-related industries is necessary.
Other things we think you should know about the position
- This position is open to remote candidates across the U.S.; however, preference will be given to applicants residing in Minnesota due to proximity for occasional in-person meetings, overnight travel, team collaboration, or client engagements.
- Hours are normally Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST
