Recruiting Coordinator

Examples of the duties:  

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local high schools, colleges, and community organizations to build a talent pipeline. 
  • Coordinate recruiting events, such as job fairs and career days, and help plan firm-wide conferences to increase brand visibility. 
  • Design and create marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, videos, and branded items, for use at recruiting events, social media, and networking opportunities. 
  • Assist with recruitment tasks, including sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting initial screenings, and gathering details for job offers. 
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to understand staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent. 
  • Manage and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure effective candidate management and reporting. 
  • Represent the company at networking events and act as a brand ambassador to expand our presence in the community. 
  • Support administrative recruitment tasks, such as processing background checks, organizing candidate records, and maintaining recruitment data. 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a friendly and community-focused Recruiting Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll contribute to recruiting entry-level and junior staff, building and maintaining relationships with local high schools and colleges, and coordinating events to broaden our reach and brand. You will also help design and create marketing materials for recruiting and assist in conference coordination for the firm. This role will also work closely with the Senior Recruiter to ensure seamless hiring processes and strategic growth initiatives. 

Qualifications & Characteristics 

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, relevant work experience will also be considered  
  • 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, sales, or event coordination is preferred but not required 
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or similar tools is a plus. 
  • Friendliness to make the first move and begin conversations. 
  • Problem-solving ability or confidence and critical thinking to initiate action without clear direction. 
  • Idea generation and pioneer of new paths. 
  • Ability to maintain tidy, organized workspaces and file structures. 
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control. 
  • Focus and follow through in multitask situations. 
  • Discipline to self-manage time and look ahead for others. 
  • Technologically savvy or a quick hands-on learner. 
  • Financial acumen and basic understanding of CPA firm services is a plus. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with candidates, clients, and other staff  
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail  
  • Can work independently but also work effectively with a team  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Location – on-site in Willmar, MN  
  • Hours are normally Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST
